I am Guerino Cefalo,
and my Great Grandafather was Romualdo Cefalo fu Gennaro married to Pasqualina Luongo. They were born in 1879 in Torre le Nocelle.
I'd like to know more information about them and his father Gennaro Cefalo. I knew that Cefalo Romualdo went in USA but don't know when and where...

Hi Guerino,

Gennaro Cefalo was born circa 1833 to Antonio Cefalo and Angela dell'Aquila of Pietradefusi.  Antonio and Angela had moved to Torre by 1830, however Gennaro's birth act does not show in the Torre Stato Civile.  For this reason I suspect he may have been born in Pietradefusi, even though all of his siblings were born in Torre. 

Children of Antonio and Angela are as follows:

1. Feliciana Cefalo (9 May 1830)
2. Romualdo Cefalo (13 Feb 1832 - 2 Feb 1871)
3. Gennaro Cefalo (abt. 1833)
4. Elisabetta Cefalo (20 Feb 1836 - 29 August 1841)
5. Agostino Cefalo (9 Jan 1838 - 23 Jan 1838)
and his twin....
6. Carmine Cefalo (10 Jan 1838 - 26 Jan 1838)
7. Elena Graziana Cefalo (13 August 1840 - 7 August 1841)
8. Giuseppe Cefalo (26 Feb 1843)
9. Angela Maria Cefalo (1 May 1846 - 22 Dec 1882)

Antonio Cefalo died in Torre on 5 November 1861 and Angela dell'Aquila on 31 December 1875.

Romualdo did indeed make a trip to the States.  He was on the Trave (Naples to NY)  on 2 April 1901.  You'll find him on line 25 of the manifest below, which was found at Ancestry.com  As usual ... there's a whole pack of Torresi on the same ship ;-)
