Salve! It's been a while since I've contributed to this wonderful blog. However, tonight I received a photo that I could not resist sharing!
This is a photo of my great-grandparents' mill. I have written previously in these pages about my great-grandmother, Maria Grazia DeAngelis, who was born in Torre le Nocelle on 5 July 1862. She married Federigo Ciampa in nearby Montefalcione. Their mill still exists today on Contrada Percianti in Montefalcione.
A heartfelt thanks to my cousin, Raffaele Salvatore Ciampa (born in Montefalcione but living in England) for sending me the photo. It was taken by his sister, Adriana Ciampa, who still lives in Montefalcione. Their grandfather was Giuseppe Ciampa (1889-1980), Federigo and Maria Grazia's 3rd child.
