Pelosi Likely to Recover: 29 May 1909

Boston Herald, p. 4
May 29, 1909

Man Charged with Killing Wife May Not Be Fatally Wounded.
Early this morning it was reported at the Relief Hospital that Giacinto Pelosi, who was brought there Thursday night suffering from a self-inflicted bullet wound in the head, would probably recover. The bullet which he fired did not penetrate the brain as was first thought.
Pelosi is charged with having killed his wife, who was found on the morning of May 20 dead in bed with a bullet would in the back of her head.

WORCESTER, May 28 - Giacinto Pelosi had been working in a cobbler's shop in Worcester since the death of his wife. It is said that Pelosi came to Worcester and worked on Thomas street for a few days, to which he was traced by the Boston police, and then went to Chandler street, which place he left yesterday afternoon. A girl went into the shop to get a pair of shoes which were being repaired and gave Pelosi a $5.00 bill. He went out to get the change and it is supposed he immediately took a train for Boston.

Note: The 1920 & 1930 Census has him listed as an inmate in the Bridgewater State Hospital for the Insane.
