PIZZANO, CIRIACO - Hand designer, woodcarver expert. Born Torre le Nocelle, Avellino, Italy, April 17, 1898. (Birth Record # 26 from 1898)  Son of Saverio Pizzano and Maria Iarrobino. Educated  in the public schools in Italy. Learned woodcarving and cabinet making under his father. Came to U.S. in 1923, settling in Chelsea, later in Roslindale.  Engeged in woodworking and cabinet making since 1924. Was awarded the international prize in Milan in 1933. Is regarded very skillful in the field of creating new designs in all kinds of furniture. Married Concetta Orecchia of Taurasi, Italy, on Dec. 8, 1929. Children: Saverio Ferdinand, born Feb. 20, 1931 and Mary, born Nov. 13, 1934. Member: Order Sons of Italy. Fond of travel, grafting, reading, and grand opera. His three sisters in Italy: Mrs. Emma Ardovino, Mrs. Maria Tirone; and Eve, now mother Saveria, school teacher in Pisa, Italy. Res: 4357 Washington St., Roslindale.
